Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor, director, producer as well as a teacher in St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton. She is being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for performances as a kid and watching her mom doing her job. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies.
