Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poverty-stricken family which would later include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of living through her vibrant and broad imagination. Before she learned to read and write she had already composed her own songs. When she was eight, she bought her first electric guitar and began singing on an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The following the year that Gold Band Records was an independent label. Although she became an established local celebrity while at High School, she knew her dreams were much bigger. The singer moved to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner needed an additional singer around this point. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing to RCA Records. In 1974, she quit Wagoner's show due to the commercial success of her singles like Joshua Coats from Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached the top spot at No. The first time it made it to number 1 was in 1974.
