Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to last forever and conquering everywhere. Swift shed her country roots like they were a second skin revealing that she was possibly the most savvy pop-oriented singer/songwriter of her time, one that could tap into the zeitgeist make it personal and equally impressively do opposite. The evidence was clear in her early songs, particularly with regard to the neo homage to Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008) Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to get acquainted with herself. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift could build on her progress through Speak Now almost two year after. The popularity of Swift only grew with her following three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and saw her move confidently into a pop realm where she already belonged. Her name was always in the forefront of pop even after she changed her style with her sibling albums, folklore and Evermore in 2020.
