Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay, born on the 15th of September 1915, was raised in Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, raised in the Mormon Church's First Family, employed her creative talents and skills in researching to produce an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 under the title No Man knows My History, she used both. This title is derived from a funeral sermon given by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844, when he shocked those he addressed with the words"You don't know me" you never knew my heart. No one knows my story. There is no way for me to reveal it. Fawn (29 year old) wrote that since her moment of candor Three hundred writers have responded to the occasion. Certain writers have deified and even abused the man, and others attempt to identify the problem. It isn't the case that there's not enough documentation but rather they are wildly contradictory. This is the task--sifting out first-hand testimony from third hand inconsistencies and integrating Mormon-related narratives into a cohesive mosaic of reliable theology. This is fascinating and educational. This is the kind of task to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. The fruits of her research as well as her writing earned her world-wide fame: Thaddeus Stevens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A Personal History of Richard Nixon (1974) as and the posthumously Richard Nixon.
